Farris Shepherd's Hut Register
A register dedicated to Historic Shepherds' Huts made by George Farris of the Coombe Bissett Steam Plough Works and John Farris of Shaftesbury.
As an enthusiast of shepherds' huts made by George and John Farris, one of my ambitions during my on going research, is to continue to record the number of original examples of Farris huts still in existence, thereby including them on my register.
Sybil and her family will be kept informed of the number of shepherds' huts known on the register, although any information, such as whereabouts of specific huts, would obviously be confidential.

Other hut makers
My book also includes useful information and pictures of some competitors of Farris who made excellent shepherds' huts. Watson & Haig, Lott & Walne, R & J Reeves and Tasker are four of my favourites. Research of other hut makers is also in progress, and will be included in an additional section on my register.
